Kavita Jaiswal
Kavita Jaiswal is a prominent exponent of contemporary Abstract Expressionism who embarked on her artistic journey in the 1980s. Over the years, her unique style and profound contributions to the world of art have earned her numerous accolades, including the Distinguished Achievements Award as a painter from the Lalit Kala Akademi, India, and the National Fellowship for Fine Art by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She is also a recipient of the Charles Wallace India Trust Award from the British Council, New Delhi, which enabled her to be an artist-in-residence at the Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop, Scotland.
Kavita’s works have been showcased in prestigious exhibitions and shows globally, such as the Christie’s Auction in London, the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi, the UNESCO Power of Peace exhibition in Bangkok, and the India Art Fair in New Delhi. Her works were also featured in Combine Voices for the New Century at the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, the Asia Excellence Show in Singapore, and the Bharat Bhavan Biennale in India, to name a few.
Her artistic creations are part of several esteemed collections worldwide, including the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi, The British Museum in London, the Ebrahim Alkazi Collection at Art Heritage, New Delhi, the British Council in India, the Scottish Artists Society in Edinburgh, and the Kiran Nadar Museum in New Delhi, among others.
