Born in 1978, Gitanjali did her Masters in Fashion & Textile Technology from Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi. In 2012, she started practicing art under the mentorship of eminent artist Sh. Rameshwar Broota at Triveni Kala Sangam. She has exhibited her works in several shows at the Jehangir Art Gallery, Visual Arts Gallery, Lalit Kala Akademi Annual National Exhibitions, NGMA Mumbai, Bharat Bhawan Bhopal, AIFACS Annual Art Exhibitions, Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Art Gallery, Korea Art Summit 2018, The Taj Vivanta New Delhi, etc. She has also been participating in artists’ camps and workshops regularly. She has won four National level Awards for her artworks: the 88th Annual AIFACS Award for the Best Drawing in 2016, the National Award of the Punjab Arts Council in 2017, the prestigious Bombay Art Society Award for Best Painting in 2021, and the coveted National AIFACS Award for Best Drawing in 2022. Her works are part of private collections in India and abroad. The artist lives and works in Gurugram.
