Gopa Roy, born and raised in Tripura in the northeastern part of India, is an accomplished artist currently based in Delhi. She completed her MFA from Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, and her BVA from the Government College of Art & Craft, Tripura. She has showcased her work in numerous exhibitions and participated in prestigious art residencies, including the 1st Emami Art Residency in Kolkata (December 2021). Her accolades include the Emerging Artist Award 2020 from FICA and the Mrinalini Mukherjee Foundation, as well as the National Junior Artist’s Scholarship in 2016, awarded by the Ministry of Culture, India.
